Energy strategy at territorial scales
How best to promote ambitious energy strategies within territories? How to manage interactions between economic, social and environmental systems so as to achieve an integrated and sustainable development?
A dialogue drawing on European case studies (e.g., Birmingham 2026), and on experiences with innovative platforms being implemented local and European levels (e.g., the Bioenergy Support Centres established by the Interreg Project BioenNW for decision support on bioenergies, and initiatives within the Challenge platforms on Bioeconomy, Sustainable Cities and Making Transitions Happen within the Climate KIC).
The Workshop was led by FONDaTERRA, with panel participants drawn from industrial and territorial partners: the Climate KIC, the West Midlands RIC (Regional Innovation Cluster), the ADEME, and industrial partners (Vinci / EDF / Véolia).
